HoYoVerse has unveiled further details regarding the equipment and backstory of Yunli, a newly introduced 5-star Physical Damage character in Version 2.4 of the game. Upon release, she will be available in the initial portion of the update.
Yunli’s sword, Previous Mettle, is an astonishingly portly blade, its girth rivaled only by its legendary reputation. It appears that she will engage in conversation with this sword, though it’s challenging to determine whether this is due to her being a massive sword enthusiast or if the sword itself can genuinely converse with her? Yunli’s fascination lies in collecting and refining an arsenal of swords, with a significant portion driven by her duty to hunt down “cursed blades” and recast them into functional masterpieces within the forge. From the character description of March 7th’s Imaginary Hunt, it is evident that Yunli possesses exceptional swordsmanship skills, rendering her capable of instructing others on its proper utilization.
When engaging in combat, Yunli wields equipment that prioritizes parrying attacks, thereby enabling her to regain vitality and subsequently unleash a swift Counter upon being struck by an enemy’s assault. When she uses her ability, she regains HP and then unleashes a talent that deals bodily damage to up to three enemies. It seems that her primary income source stems from her final exam results. The ability allows her to mock all foes, amplifying the specific Counter to affect up to three enemies. She actively cultivates her attack prowess through her passive Traces, which empower her to absorb Crowd Management debuffs more effectively once she unleashes her ultimate ability.
