Microsoft warns that the latest Windows 11 update has compatibility issues with certain Ubisoft titles, specifically Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Siege, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, as of November. 22.
“After installing Windows 11, version 24H2, users may experience issues with certain Ubisoft games,” Microsoft noted. These video games might potentially become unresponsive during initial startup, loading, or active gameplay. Occasionally, customers may experience a black screen.

Microsoft advises against attempting to manually install model 24H2 using Windows 11’s Setup Assistant or Media Creation Tool until the issue is resolved, stating that doing so may not be successful.
Microsoft warned users who were unable to exit their game normally to use Task Manager’s Processes tab to terminate the process.
