With the next Tomb Raider installment still on the horizon, fans can take solace in knowing that Aspyr is set to deliver another round of remastered classics.
Since 2018, fans of the Tomb Raider series have had to wait for a fresh installment in the franchise, with the last game released nearly four years ago; meanwhile, the rights holders have been busy making adjustments behind the scenes. Despite this hiatus, it’s comforting to know that Crystal Dynamics is actively working on a new project. The anime’s recent arrival on Netflix ensures a decent buffer period to keep you engaged for a while. For those preferring to play Tomb Raider over watching it, there’s encouraging news ahead. Aspyr, the studio behind the well-received Tomb Raider trilogy remasters from earlier this year, has announced plans to remaster the fourth, fifth, and sixth instalments in the series, with the revamped games set to debut on February 14, 2025.

The Collector’s Edition of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey includes three bonus content packs – The Final Revelation, Chronicles, and The Angel of Darkness – providing an abundance of additional gameplay and storylines for players to explore as the game launches. As with the original game, you’ll be able to seamlessly switch between “polygonal fashion” and remastered graphics at any time. The Angel of Darkness iteration, however, didn’t initially receive widespread acclaim, so fans of the series might welcome any refinements that have been made to enhance its overall appeal.
Notably, selecting the financial institution duo won’t breach any financial institutions; rather, the £25 price tag for this collection of video games seems reasonable. Notably, pre-orders on Steam come with an attractive 10% discount, making it a fairly sweet deal.
Besides the newly launched adventure game from Crystal Dynamics, a forthcoming TV series on Amazon is also gaining momentum, as Fleabag creator and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge is announced to be at the helm of this project. As the release date for the next installment in the Tomb Raider series draws near in May, fans may need to wait a while before getting their hands on Crystal Dynamics’ latest creation; in the meantime, these remasters will likely be the best way to satisfy your craving for more Lara Croft adventures.
