Idris Elba recently chatted with Screen Rant about the possibility of a live-action Cyberpunk adaptation, expressing a favorable inclination towards the idea during their conversation.
Elba suggested that if any movie is well-suited for a live-action adaptation, Cyberpunk 2077 could be a strong contender, noting that the combination of his character and his own persona would create a thrilling cinematic experience. “So, let’s manifest our communication.” While Elba and Reeves’ characters may operate independently, with Elba’s Johnny Silverhand largely confined to V’s imagination, I’m confident that creative storytelling can bridge the gap effectively.
As there has been no concrete information disclosed regarding the television series, Idaawi’s potential involvement remains speculative; however, even if he does secure the role, it may ultimately be a non-traditional, small-screen appearance rather than a major network show.
