After years of anticipation, PlayStation enthusiasts will finally get their hands on the latest release. Fatshark has officially announced that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will launch on PlayStation 5 on December 3.
With a history of frequent releases, longtime fans of the Swedish developer have grown accustomed to receiving new content at the start of each year.
The PlayStation 5 version of Warhammer 40k: Darktide lands 12 months after the Xbox release’s own delay and a staggering two-year gap since its initial PC debut. Without any doubt, Darktide has significantly improved and evolved since its release in late 2022.
While playing the sport on PlayStation, players can expect to receive the latest version of the cooperative third-person shooter-melee hybrid, but Fatshark has not announced support for cross-platform play with PC and Xbox users.
All standard PS5 options are fully supported, along with DualSense haptic feedback features. The newly launched PS5 Pro is poised to significantly enhance your gaming proficiency, boasting a 60fps frame rate and 4K resolution. The PlayStation 5 allows players to select from two graphical settings: Efficiency, which renders at 1440p with 60 frames per second, or High Quality, which outputs in 4K resolution at a frame rate of 30 frames per second.
The highly anticipated sport is now available for pre-order on the official PlayStation Retailer. PlayStation Plus members will enjoy a 10% discount on the Standard Edition and a 15% reduction on the Imperial Edition. The Imperial Edition also grants access to the game six days prior to its official release, accompanied by a bonus stash of in-game currency and exclusive cosmetic items.
