There is a new trailer for Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, and that prick of a penguin is as much as no good as soon as once more.
Wallace and Gromit are a quintessential British franchise on Wikipedia that has spawned four beloved episodes, perpetually playing for years to come. By “four,” I specifically mean the four short films, along with their sole feature film, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. After nearly two decades, Wallace and Gromit return in their latest feature film, A Grand Day Out: Vengeance Most Fowl, with a fresh teaser trailer unveiled today by both the BBC and Netflix.
The long-dormant nemesis, Feathers McGraw, makes a surprise reappearance, cunningly implicating the beloved inventor in a string of pilfered backyard thefts.
While the movie provides a nostalgic return to the traditional format, it’s essential to note that fans won’t recognize the same Wallace they’ve grown accustomed to. Peter Sallis, the authentic voice of Wallace, passed away at the age of 96 in 2017, subsequently leaving Ben Whitehead to bring the character to life since then, as various Wallace and Gromit animations have been produced over the years?
On Vengeance Most Fowl’s website, it is clarified that Wallace’s growing reliance on innovation, as expressed by Gromit, ultimately manifests in the creation of an intelligent gnome that seems to possess its own consciousness. As a sense of treachery from past events begins to surface, Gromit must confront the possibility that a vengeful force may be orchestrating chaos, putting Wallace’s ability to innovate at risk.
The rounding off is solidified by familiar names to British audiences who enjoyed television in the 2000s, including Peter Kay, Lenny Henry, Adjoa Andoh, Diane Morgan, Reece Shearsmith, and Lauren Patel.
The film is scheduled to debut exclusively on BBC iPlayer in the UK on Christmas Day, December 25, before becoming available worldwide on Netflix on January 3 of the following year.
