Massive Pictures’ VR mech roguelite is now available on the Meta Horizon Retailer, with the studio outlining its post-launch plans.
The critically acclaimed VR puzzle game, Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate, developed by Alter Eyes and published by MyDearest, has become available for download on the Meta Horizon Retailer after its successful launch on App Lab in April. Players can enjoy solo action or team up with a friend in two-player cooperative mode to repel the relentless onslaught of extraterrestrial invaders, steadily accumulating and upgrading their arsenal of futuristic mechs as they work together to reclaim the planet from the alien threat. The thrill of the game unfolds before your eyes: you can witness the action firsthand.
Massive Pictures’ post-launch roadmap kicks off with the upcoming ‘Time Beyond Regulation Update,’ introducing modifiers that enable customization of gameplay mechanics, effectively reshaping the challenge for players. In September, ‘Loot & Life’ introduces worthwhile rewards throughout the map alongside well being upgrades, although revivals come at a price.
As October’s Arsenal Growth arrives, players gain access to innovative tactics for annihilating enemies through upgraded mechs and weaponry. In December’s ‘Frontier Expedition’, you’ll venture into the unknown, charting new territory with each step. The journey won’t be complete until 2025, when additional armaments and enhancements become available.
At Gamescom 2023, our preview of Massive Pictures left us with cautiously optimistic impressions. During our hands-on experience with the PSVR 2 model, we previously commended its unparalleled immersion, dubbing it “a visceral mech game that expertly blends the addictive qualities of roguelites and the frenetic energy of wave shooters.”
Massive Pictures is now available on Quest, PC VR, Pico, and PlayStation VR2. Altar Eyes further substantiated that the value had indeed decreased from $25 to $20.
