The Nintendo Switch has consistently received robust support from Ubisoft throughout its prolonged lifespan, suggesting that the developer may be poised to amplify its efforts further with the impending arrival of the console’s successor. As widely anticipated, the upcoming change, dubbed Change 2, is expected to attract more robust third-party support due to its purportedly enhanced hardware capabilities. This notion has been gaining traction for some time now, and industry insider NateTheHate corroborates reports suggesting Ubisoft will be a major contributor to this development.
A leaker on a recent podcast episode claimed that Ubisoft is developing more than half a dozen games for the Switch 2, including ports of upcoming releases, latest titles and older games. They allegedly will be available within the console’s launch window, with Assassin’s Creed: Mirage also in development. According to reports, however, its release remains pending for now.
According to an insider, two versions of Change are currently in development, along with a franchise installment. Additionally, there have been internal discussions about releasing a bundle pack featuring all three titles.
Previous rumors have suggested that Ubisoft plans to release additional content for Nintendo Switch 2.
With the writer’s support for change already in place, it would hardly be surprising to see a marked increase in efforts driving its successor forward. The rumoured Change 2 is expected to be officially unveiled by the end of the week, allowing us to gain a clearer understanding of its features and details in the near future.
While awaiting further developments, according to NateTheHate, a range of prominent third-party titles such as and are reportedly en route to Nintendo’s forthcoming console.
