Trombone Champ: Unflattened has been officially confirmed for a November release on the Meta Quest platform.
Developed by Flat2VR Studios in collaboration with the creators of Trombone Champ, this innovative VR rhythm game is a fresh take on the 2D rhythm comedy genre that spawned hit title Trombone Champ from Holy Wow Studios, offering a unique and often laugh-out-loud experience. Will you need to master more than 50 unique and recognizable musical pieces by honking and tooting?
Melodic harmonies swirl around you from both left and right, entwining in a mesmerizing dance of sound. With a nod to the beat, you harmonize by masterfully navigating the trombone’s slide, deftly manipulating its position while timing your breaths to produce a melodic rendition (or creative variation) that showcases your skill.
While our initial encounter with Trombone Champ: Unflattened in August left us smiling, the 3D iteration maintained its lighthearted charm while introducing some minor hiccups in spatial control.
The launch features an array of unlockable and customizable trombones, as well as collectible playing cards, alongside a customised monitor assistant, a brand-new campaign mode, immersive dynamic environments that boast charming and laughable viewer reactions, and a blend of real-world modes.
Pre-orders are now open for Trombone Champ: Unflattened on Meta Quest, with a scheduled release date of November 26th quickly approaching. Steam and PlayStation VR2 launch dates “may be announced shortly.”
