With anticipation building since its introduction last year, the highly anticipated sequel to Quest’s most popular VR boxing simulator is finally set to make its debut.
Sealost Interactive and Halfbrick Studios have unveiled the game’s official debut trailer, revealing that it will be available for Quest on an early access release date of November 21st.
The Quest’s upcoming early entry model will debut online multiplayer capabilities, featuring skill-based matchmaking and direct matching, alongside customizable avatars and a commitment to “responsive, true-to-life physics.”
According to Sealost Interactive’s Ian Fitz, in a recent post on the game’s Discord channel (accessible via this invite link), the company is planning to release its title on multiple platforms, with no contractual restrictions or exclusivities driving this decision.
Unlike its predecessor, the sequel’s most notable feature is its online multiplayer capability, although a solo “career” mode has been announced for future release.
A single participant is essential to us, and we want to push that significantly beyond where we are now; however, our new multiplayer feature will undoubtedly steal the spotlight for a while.
We have initiated an investigation into the forthcoming professional mode and will update this information once we receive further clarification.
