As its release date approaches within a week’s span, new details about the action-adventure game continue to surface thanks to developer All Potential Futures and publisher Devolver Digital.
The game’s developer has further clarified that the Nintendo Switch version will indeed maintain a consistent 30 frames per second. Devolver Digital revealed on Twitter that its upcoming game won’t run at 60 frames per second on Nintendo’s Switch, citing the console’s limitations: “it can’t sustain that, sadly.”
While the sport’s efficiency targets have yet to be formally verified for any platform, it is likely that they will aim to achieve a frame rate of 60 frames per second (FPS) on both PlayStation and Xbox consoles, whereas the Nintendo Switch may require adjustments to meet its unique technical specifications.
Prior to its release, developer All Potential Futures disclosed that the game’s primary narrative could be estimated at around 8-10 hours in length, further solidifying its compatibility with the Steam Deck by confirming its Steam Deck Verification. The latest trailer also highlighted its accessibility features.
The highly anticipated game launches on September 17 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game will also launch on PlayStation Store’s catalog on day one for the PS5 platform.
