In a deliberate departure from Soulslike norms, the upcoming motion RPG from Neople will eschew traditional problem-solving options, opting instead for a distinct peculiarity that sets it apart within the subgenre. Despite initial assurances from the developer that the game would not include moral dilemmas, it appears possible that this stance may have shifted in recent developments surrounding its release.
In a recent interview with GamingBolt, when asked about identical features, Neople revealed that, following feedback from the community, the studio is currently testing and refining a simple mode. While it’s unclear if this feature will be incorporated into the final game, the developer is currently exploring the possibility of making it a reality.
“We previously confirmed that no problem choices were planned, but we’re currently exploring a new mode featuring reduced difficulty levels across the entire workforce,” Neople told GamingBolt. “Our primary goal was to immerse players in a character’s plight, encouraging empathy through relatable challenges; however, we’ve received requests for more difficulty levels.” While details on whether a straightforward or story mode is available remain ambiguous, our goal is to entice more players to engage with the game and experience its fundamental entertainment value. Prior to actual deployment, we intend to conduct a series of internal tests to thoroughly examine and review the particulars.
The highly anticipated game launches on March 27, 2025, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with an exciting demo set to debut on January 16. Our forthcoming full interview with Neople will be available shortly, so stay tuned for that.
