The beloved magical lady mecha hybrid collection, inspired by the imagination of, and, is thrilled to announce its next evolution – an all-new anime series!
While many may be familiar with Clamp’s iconic work, Cardcaptor Sakura, the group has actually produced a wide range of notable titles over the years. One notable collection is Magic Knight Rayearth, a series that masterfully blends the fantastical elements of magical ladies with mecha-inspired action, transporting its three young female protagonists to an alternate world in classic isekai style. To commemorate their thirtieth anniversary, the franchise announced a fresh anime project just today, reviving the beloved series that first premiered in 1994.
While the reveal trailer for the collection is available above, don’t expect too much insight into its contents just yet. Here’s some footage from the forthcoming anime, accompanied by artwork from its manga counterpart, but ultimately it boils down to a simple “another anime in production, stay tuned.” The trailer’s opening sequence did offer a glimpse at what the characters might look like in the new series, depicting the three protagonists standing atop a cliff overlooking a fantastical world; however, I suspect this is merely concept art rather than an actual clip from the anime itself. Unfortunately, there’s no phrase available on forged or crew, I am sorry to say.

Should you find yourself within the Magikarp Jump in any respect, it is truly out there to stream on Crunchyroll, with the streamer describing the collection: “Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji aren’t from Cephiro; they’re actually Magical Girl Jurians.” As they stroll through the faculty area en route to the iconic Tokyo Tower, the trio’s minds are elsewhere, lost in vividly imagined worlds teeming with enchantment and wonder. Will the trio—Eita, Takaya, and Tetsuya—answer the distress call from Princess Emeraude, the revered leader of Cephiro, whose realm is on the brink of catastrophe?
Since there’s no specific phrase mentioned about when the collection may drop, we’ll just have to keep a keen eye out in the meantime.
