Arc Raiders marks the inaugural release from Embark Studios, a fledgling game development company founded by veteran industry figure Patrick Soderlund, formerly of EA. In this debut title, players take on the role of Earth’s last line of defense as they face off against an enigmatic mechanized threat hurtling towards the planet from outer space. The cooperative game will be free-to-play, launching exclusively on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The assertion that this was true in 2021 remains valid, and its relevance persists as the sport’s relaunch approaches in 2025.
