Amongst the plethora of high-profile video game releases in September and October, Huge Leisure’s title has struggled to gain traction, with preliminary gross sales coming in “softer than anticipated”. Since its initial release, the game has received three notable updates, each refining several critical aspects – stealth mechanics, enemy artificial intelligence, and the speeder’s performance.
Drew Rechner, inventive director at Dev Replace, has previewed the upcoming Title Replace 1.4, set to release on November 21st, highlighting three key areas of focus for this new update: combat enhancements, refined stealth mechanics, and improvements to character control systems. He noted that the actual alternatives provide added depth and enjoyment to the experience, further rewarding players for their skill and precision in combat.
Stealth is our second crucial space, extending beyond straightforward enemy detection to encompass novel approaches to each engagement. The team must focus on refining “canopy responsiveness,” improving the fluidity of climbing and crouching mechanics, and consistently honing control overall for a seamless experience.
Additional details will follow in the coming weeks, but Huge highlights the update as “celebrating and embracing player choice like never before.”
Accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect. Our review of this game is available here – we scored it a 6 out of 10, commending the visuals, narrative, and expansive open-world experience, while also highlighting issues with the gameplay mechanics, technical shortcomings, and stealth implementation.
