Throughout my tenure with Star Wars Outlaws, I’ve consistently worried about additional speeder crashes attributable to my own reckless behavior. Fortunately, the game’s latest patch appears poised to curtail my hazardous ways and ensure safer skies for fellow travelers across the galaxy. Given the looming deadline for Kay’s Vess renewal, it’s concerning that she’ll needlessly waste time on her holo-phone.
One of the initial milestones in Ubisoft’s path to improvement for Outlaws, as announced simultaneously with the delay of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, previously slated for a November release, now targeted for February. Here’s hoping that these modifications achieve their aim of addressing concerns people have with the sport?
What tweaks do we make to get that perfect outcome?
Key updates include enhanced stealth mechanics and refinements to Kay’s speeder functionality, as detailed in the patch notes. Ubisoft has refined the fundamental stealth mechanics by fine-tuning AI detection, diversifying non-player character placements, streamlining patrol routes, improving camera detection, and emphasizing environmental opportunities to minimize player resistance.
The speeder tweaks have undergone significant updates, with the motorcycle’s response to input and its positioning on screen refined when referred to as the camera angle. Moreover, the FOV adjustments now more accurately capture the bike’s behavior when driven aggressively or slammed into a setting like a hooligan.
Regrettably, it’s far too late to rectify the harm I’ve caused to Kay’s backbone and skill, forcing her to rely on a speeder without paying outlaws through the nose for genuine galaxy-wide transportation – the people offering these essential documents, which I hope you’ll never need to utilize. While it’s true that Outlaws’ design contributed to the challenge, the fact remains that I was still left grasping for air after attempting a particularly daunting jump? Oh, bollocks. I’ve received a significant quantity of bacta vials.
Various notable updates include fixes for specific issues, such as the point where players can become stuck in the hyperjump sequence leading to Kijimi, the missing “Takeoff” button prompt following the “The Wreck” mission, misbehaving power barriers in Kerro’s Speakeasy, and problems with Jet Kordo’s questline. Regardless of the platform, stability and efficiency must be elevated to a higher standard.
I’m thrilled to be a part of the Star Wars universe as Star Wars Outlaws. Discover what lies beneath, and take the opportunity to gauge whether this is a pursuit that aligns with your interests and values, leaving no room for indecision or uncertainty.
