Two new story packs are set to join a unique mission featuring Jabba the Hutt, which initially sparked controversy when Ubisoft attached it to the season pass earlier this year, prompting the writer to confirm that Jabba’s cartel will also appear in the main game alongside the standalone storyline. Don’t panic, though: each pack’s availability won’t expire until after the seasonal transition.

The eagerly anticipated “Wild Card” story pack is slated for release in the autumn of 2024. “Kay’s mission to infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc match takes an unexpected turn as she crosses paths with Lando Calrissian, renowned for his infamous blunders on the card table,” the abstract reveals, “only to discover that another game is being played.” It seems like an opportunity to test her mettle against the man who infamously lost a souped-up Corellian freighter in a game of cards.

While the stakes were high, Lando’s impulsive nature likely didn’t involve a game of Sabacc, but rather a calculated risk. It appears that a misunderstanding had taken place and then subsequently cleared up. I’ll never tell, but I suppose it’s acceptable: It’s all right, Mr. Calrissian; you may have Kay by your side to keep you away from the tables and prevent this deal from getting worse on a regular basis, even when Vader is likely not around to alter its course. The upcoming pack will coincide with the release of new cosmetic items for Kay, Nix, and their respective vehicles.

Then comes a second story pack – “A Pirate’s Fortune”. The highly anticipated debut is slated for spring 2025, when the plot unfolds as Kay encounters the seasoned pirate Hondo Ohnaka, seeking retribution against a notorious band of ruthless buccaneers. For fans of The Clone Wars and Rebels series, this development may hold greater significance than the introduction of Lando, as it finally provides an opportunity for Hondo’s character to take center stage.
