The collection has seen unparalleled success for its creators, Respawn Entertainment and writers Electronic Arts, with the action-adventure games continuing to captivate audiences on a massive scale, according to recently released figures from EA.
According to EA’s President of Leisure and Technology, Laura Miele, at the company’s recent Traders Day 2024 presentation, it was disclosed that both platforms have collectively attracted more than 40 million players thus far.
As of June 2021, the original title boasted 20 million players, while player numbers for its sequel remain undisclosed to date. Since its launch last year, however, Electronic Arts did confirm that the game was selling higher than expected. As major console releases for both PS4 and Xbox One unfold, it is likely that player engagement will surge alongside increasing user base.
EA has officially confirmed that the final installment in the collection is also undergoing improvements.
