Notwithstanding the initial setbacks, the project has finally reached the milestone of showcasing its accomplishments in preparation for its November 20 unveiling.
When S.T.A.L.K.E.R. finally launches, gamers can expect to play it on various platforms, primarily those related to Xbox, as the developer has secured a deal for the game’s release on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a minimum guarantee of availability at launch on these platforms, including Game Pass. According to a recent interview between GSC and Windows Central, new details have emerged about the origins of their collaboration.
A consultant at the studio candidly acknowledged that their initial outreach to Microsoft was nonexistent, “starting from scratch.” The team’s first attempt to connect with Phil Spencer was a digital search, ultimately leading them to discover his email address via a Reddit thread.

We’ve had a positive experience collaborating with the Xbox team thus far, as we genuinely appreciate their remarkable efficiency and genuine empathy.
So, there you go. While it’s reassuring that this development came to pass, especially considering everything the Stalker group has endured, I struggle to imagine Spencer will feel entirely positive about the notion of parents potentially combing through posts and threads in an effort to tell him they appreciate his Hexen t-shirt.
