Important story DLC arrived later, crucial for fully grasping the game’s narrative, notes Corrine Busche, director of The Veilguard, who ensured the sequel was a self-contained package. While she once hinted “never say never” regarding potential DLC, artistic director John Epler recently confirmed to Rolling Stone that no such expansions are currently planned.
It’s reassuring news for fans who appreciate the ability to play through a game without additional purchases, as they’ll finally get to experience the full story without needing DLC. While some may be initially disappointed that there aren’t more surprises in store, the sheer amount of content already available should provide ample entertainment.
