Skydance’s behemoth project is being pushed back to December to ensure a higher level of quality and polish before its release.
Rumors swirled on November 14 about the potential delay of Skydance’s behemoth game, Behemoth, after an updated listing on the PlayStation Store (credit: Gamertag VR) emerged several days earlier. Skydance Games has notified UploadVR of a revised launch date for its forthcoming title, with the new deadline set for December 5, affecting all platforms, including Quest, PSVR 2, and Steam.
This is the total assertion:
Skydance Games is shifting the release date of its upcoming title to Thursday, December 5, 2024, in order to deliver the optimal gaming experience that our players expect and deserve. With this extra time, we’ll have the opportunity to fine-tune every detail, ensuring our VR game shines as one of the year’s most exceptional titles. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for their unwavering perseverance and ongoing support.
Skydance’s latest sports project has faced yet another delay, marking its second major setback in recent history. The highly anticipated virtual reality fantasy role-playing game was originally slated for release in 2023 before being delayed to late 2024, a shift that fans of the genre are eagerly awaiting.
We’ve been consistently impressed by Skydance’s Behemoth, having initially commended its “fascinating presentation” and “satisfying yet brutal physics-based combat” on PSVR 2. During our recent Gamescom demo of the Steam version, we were left even more impressed with its “gripping fight” and “innovative VR-first design.”
Behemoth, Skydance Interactive’s highly anticipated monster-hunting game, is set to land on Quest, PSVR 2, and Steam on December 5.
