As the highly anticipated remake hurtles towards its impending launch, it’s becoming increasingly clear that this collaborative effort between Konami and Bloober Team is shaping up to be a formidable force, with the prospect of future remakes already on the horizon. While the question remains as to whether the final product will meet expectations, the partnership itself appears robust enough to warrant speculation about what’s next in store for this beloved franchise.
According to Bloober Team’s CEO Piotr Babieno, the company has been advised by Konami; in fact, he revealed this while speaking with Polish outlet Bankier, indicating that the studio plans to continue working with Konami beyond their current endeavors.
“You can rest assured that this marks merely a milestone in our ongoing journey with Konami,” he stated.
The possibility of collaboration between Konami and Bloober Team remains uncertain, leaving open-ended questions about their potential projects: whether they will co-develop remakes, create a new game in the series, or venture into unrelated territory, only time will tell. The forthcoming remake suggests that this will not be the sole outcome of their collaboration.
In a recent interview with GamingBolt, when asked if Bloober Team could be open to working on more remakes, producer Maciej Głomb replied, “You never know what the future holds. For now, I think you should never say never.”
Within a year, Konami confirmed its dedication to developing remakes, working diligently behind the scenes. Discover more about that topic here.
