When it debuted last year, Wasteland 3 was widely regarded as one of the best retro RPGs of recent years; however, developer Sabotage Studio has not yet reached the finish line with the game. The Daybreak of Equinox replacement was unveiled to the gaming community earlier this year, and its highly anticipated launch has finally arrived, bringing a plethora of innovative features and upgrades.
A popular substitute for all gamers, standing at a substantial size. The game’s most significant addition is the introduction of three-player co-op, enabling three players to team up locally and play as distinct characters. The update has also introduced a Speedrunner Mode through the addition of a new Relic, as well as new difficulty presets, a fresh cutscene, and an overhauled, extensively expanded prologue sequence.
Meanwhile, a suite of fight tweaks has been introduced, including the innovative Thriller Locks mechanic, revisions to Combo Factor calculations, experimental damage types designed to reveal lock-ins, flexible encounter initiators allowing for multiple approaches, and more.
