Meta has relaunched its flagship app with a fresh take on free animation, allowing users to immerse themselves in stunning, hand-painted virtual reality environments crafted within the innovative VR art app.
Meta claims its revamped app now boasts an intuitive user interface, streamlining navigation, amplifying productivity, and refining controls to deliver a cohesive user experience.
The game also features an impressive library of more than 50 VR-animated shorts, expertly curated selections, and over 2,400 pieces of user-generated content that can be explored in-depth through ‘Free Fly Mode’, allowing users to view each creation from any vantage point.
Developed by a small, dedicated team led by renowned Artwork Director and acclaimed artist Goro Fujita, internal support was provided for all Quest units, including the distinctive 2019-era Quest model, from July 2023 onwards.
Fujita, a veteran of DreamWorks Animation, is also notable for his work at Oculus Story Studios on VR animated brief films and chapter one of numerous VR animations, some of which can be viewed in the app right now.
You possibly can learn the complete Q&A over on the Meta weblog, which dives deeper into Fujita’s passions, previous and current. In the meantime, Meta anticipates continued growth, with forthcoming updates to its content offerings and innovative features planned for the future.
