Get ready to unleash your inner martial arts master with Path of Fury: Episode I – Tetsuo’s Tower, a heart-pumping VR experience that combines rapid-fire action and precision kung fu moves on the Oculus Quest, coming next year.
In this frenzied virtual reality experience, developed by Leonard Menchiari, “Path of Fury: Episode I – Tetsuo’s Tower” whisks players away to an electrifying 1980s setting that perfectly captures the essence of a classic arcade thriller. Inspired by the cinematic mastery of Wong Kar-wai and the adrenaline-fueled action of The Raid Redemption, as well as the intensity of video games such as Time Crisis and the iconic Fist of the North Star, you find yourself facing a formidable fortress with no weapons to rely on but your own fists.

Menchiari’s inaugural VR experience, he has prior credits on two non-VR titles, including the visually striking side-scroller Trek to Yomi, as well as a remastered version of the immersive game, The Everlasting Fortress. Path of Fury’s gameplay is centered on the delicate balance between precision and speed, requiring players to swiftly dispatch enemies with calculated accuracy.
“Identifying an adversary’s vulnerable spot requires diligence; strike decisively before they overwhelm.” As the flooring pile grows, so too do the opportunities? The relentless energy builds, refusing to abate as your drive persists unabated? In this cutthroat arena, every blow matters; a moment’s pause could prove fatal.
Path of Fury: Episode I – Tetsuo’s Tower is poised to expand its reach by launching on the Meta Quest platform in early 2025, broadening its scope and accessibility.
