PocketPair has finally launched the highly anticipated monster-collector game, PalWorld, on PlayStation 5, following its initial releases on Xbox and PC in January 2024.
With the latest State of Play update now live (September 24), players can dive into the action-packed world of these pint-sized critters and start deploying them at their bases – no waiting necessary, as the game is available to play directly on Sony’s console.
Indeed, the recent Tokyo Sport Present report now appears to explicitly suggest that the game is nearing a PS5 release, rather than being an innocent mistake.
Recently, Pocketpair announced that Palworld will remain a premium title, meaning players will still be required to pay for the game.
After months of deliberation over whether such an occurrence was possible, Pocketpair now faces litigation from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, with the latter accusing Palworld of infringing on numerous patent rights.
As time unfolds, only hindsight will reveal the ultimate fate of Palworld; for now, players can enjoy the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and, as of today, PS5.
