Nintendo’s first major release in over 30 years will feature three comprehensive demos, allowing players to test the game thoroughly. What’s more, any progress made in the demos will be seamlessly carried over to the full version when it launches.
As mid-year approached, Nintendo subtly hinted at something eerily intriguing by July. Despite deviating from Nintendo’s typical wholesome aesthetic, a week later the developer surprisingly unveiled it as a brand-new Famicom Detective Club game, the first new installment in over 30 years, excluding remakes of the original titles. Yoshio Sakamoto, renowned designer behind iconic NES games and director of the critically acclaimed Metroid series, makes a triumphant return with the latest installment in this beloved franchise? With the game’s release date imminent, Nintendo is providing a sneak peek in the form of three demos designed to quickly bring players up to speed before the full game drops.
The highly anticipated main demo drops tomorrow, on August 19, marking a pivotal milestone in the game’s development, effectively serving as the inaugural chapter in its comprehensive narrative. Fortunately, you won’t have to pay a single dime to play it, with the added bonus that on August 22 and 27, two additional chapters will be released for free, allowing players to experience a significant portion of the game’s opening without spending a penny. With your progress assuredly carrying over into the full release on August 29, there’s no need to worry about replaying content when you’ve already been considering purchasing it.
