As the witching hour approaches, No Man’s Sky conjures up a spooky spectacle – The Cursed, a limited-time event, now available exclusively on PS VR2 and Steam.
Dubbed an enigmatic and unnerving event by Hey Video Games, the latest No Man’s Sky expedition has taken up residence for approximately three weeks. In the twilight universe, temporal anomalies cause unpredictable shifts in time, while actuality’s perimeters begin to fray. As The Cursed, you’re plagued by disquieting visions and disembodied voices from another dimension, threatening your sanity. Your only refuge lies within a futuristic “Boundary Starship” inspired by H.R. Giger’s designs – a flying saucer that serves as a sanctuary against the encroaching unknown? Here is the announcement trailer.
While venturing into the cosmos may be curtailed due to The Cursed’s restrictions on hyperdrive travel, you’re forced to rely on aged portal networks to chart new discoveries and decipher mysterious schematics. Upon completing this expedition, you’ll receive exclusive rewards that include a Cthulhu-like Horror Exosuit customization, bioluminescent pets to illuminate your journey, and a boundary-pushing UFO-inspired Boundary Herald Starship.
As players venture into these eerie realms, they may unexpectedly encounter the ethereal entities that linger precariously on the periphery. Spectral anomalies are typically observational, but can swiftly escalate into aggressive behavior… According to Hey Games’ press release, these encounters bring forth unprecedentedly challenging enemies and formidable boss battles on a previously unseen scale in No Man’s Sky.
No Man’s Sky has finally arrived on SteamVR, PlayStation VR2, and other flat-screen platforms. Additional details regarding the PS5 Pro’s specifications will be forthcoming within the next several weeks.
