At CES 2025, MSI has introduced its latest flagship gaming laptop, the Titan 18 HX, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of high-performance portable gaming solutions. The newest iteration of laptops is poised to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors, boasting the most advanced CPU and GPU available.
The laptop computer features an 18-inch display and will run on Intel’s Core i9-285HX CPU, while its graphics are powered by the cellular model of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080. Laptop computers offer diverse hardware configurations that include up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM, 24GB of GDDR7 VRAM, and a single Gen5 NVMe M.2 slot for high-performance storage, alongside three Gen4 slots for expandability.
The MSI Titan 18 HX features a resolution of 3840×2400 pixels, backed by a swift refresh rate of 120 Hz. The laptop computer may arrive equipped with a mechanical keyboard featuring precision-engineered Cherry switches, as well as cutting-edge wireless capabilities courtesy of Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The Titan HX’s audio capabilities are expected to be handled by four common audio systems and two woofers, resulting in a total of six components.
The laptop computer features a 99.9 Wh battery that can be recharged using a high-power 400W energy adapter. Customers can access various input/output interfaces on the device’s entrance, including two USB-C ports featuring Thunderbolt 5 capabilities, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports for seamless connectivity, one HDMI 2.1 port designed for high-definition exterior displays, a dedicated SD card slot for data transfer, and a reliable 1 Gb Ethernet connection for network compatibility.
MSI has also introduced a limited-edition Dragon Version Norse Fable variant of the Titan 18 HX, featuring an intricately hand-drawn dragon design on the laptop’s chassis, and a rare dragon coin secured under a glass lid within the palm rest. The package might also come with an array of supplementary treats, including a massive mouse pad, a mouse, a three-dimensional dragon figurine, and a unique, immersive unboxing experience drawing inspiration from Norse mythology.
