Squingle, a psychedelic blend of reality and puzzle game, is due to receive an updated version later this month.
Squingle, a brainchild of Dr. Ben Outram, challenges players to navigate orbs from start to finish while cleverly evading the periphery of glass-like labyrinths that confine them. Here’s the improved text:
VRAL Video Games, the developer behind VRider, is proud to announce the launch of a revolutionary new edition of Squingle, featuring fully immersive Mixed Reality (MR) environments that seamlessly integrate contact controllers and advanced hand-tracking capabilities.
The Meta Quest Horizon Retailer introduces a revamped Squingle experience, boasting over 100 puzzles available at launch, with additional content continually updated, catering to both seated and standing play styles. Assistance is provided for both room-scale and mini-scale puzzles, along with the option to engage in a ‘Problem Mode’ that features timed challenges and displays your completion times on a global online leaderboard for ranking purposes.
The previously unique recreation, now rebranded as Squingle: Legacy, has unfortunately been delisted after receiving ongoing support following its initial release in 2021. The Legacy model introduced more than 100 new features, with post-launch MR enhancements facilitated by a ‘Passthrough Replace’ mechanism that was later augmented with hands-on monitoring and reality-based updates.
The Squingle game arrives on Meta Quest platform on November 21st.
