At San Diego Comic-Con, NetherRealm Studios and WB Games unveiled a brand-new storyline expansion for the fighting game set to launch later this year, with its continuation of the narrative being one of its most significant selling points – but that’s not the only feature the expansion will bring. NetherRealm Studios has officially announced the release of Kombat Pack 2, a downloadable content pack that will bring six new characters to the game.
As previously rumored by leaks, Kombat Pack 2 is confirmed to include three iconic characters: Noob Saibot, Cyrax, and Sektor – all set to debut simultaneously with the pack’s launch in September. Moreover, Kombat Pack 2 is expected to introduce three additional playable characters through downloadable content: T-1000 from Terminator, Ghostface from Scream, and Conan the Barbarian; all three fighters are scheduled to arrive at a later date, with no specific release dates announced yet.
The Kombat Pack 2 will only be available as part of the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath expansion, with no standalone purchase option for those who do not want to buy the story DLC and only the new characters.
The new Mortal Kombat 11 update will bring not only expanded storytelling and additional DLC fighters but also a slew of fresh, animal-inspired Fatalities, dubbed Animalities, available as a complimentary download. Discover more about it by clicking this link.
debuts on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
