The rarity of surprises in the world of video game delays makes it refreshing to encounter an unexpected turn of events. Sega recently unveiled a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming action-adventure title, Ryu Ga Gotoku, which has seen its launch date brought forward by a week.
Masayoshi Yokoyama, RGG Studio’s head, expounded on the reasoning behind the sport’s release schedule in a separate video, revealing that progress has surpassed their initial projections and will continue to rise.
Notwithstanding the curiosity surrounding the game’s release, there is a likelihood that its launch date may be adjusted to avoid conflicting with another highly anticipated title, set to debut on February 28. Ultimately, he failed to specifically mention the Capcom-developed motion RPG, but emphasized that RGG Studio and Sega should ensure gamers can seamlessly transition into “the next game” without any concerns.
“Now, we’ve decided to accelerate the discharge schedule by one week, with a new target date set for February 21, 2025,” Yokoyama stated. As development accelerated beyond expectations, our primary focus shifted from perfection to expediency, necessitating a swift global release to satiate the growing demand. We required the capacity to play the subsequent sport with untroubled minds. “With the collaboration of everyone involved at Sega, both internally and externally, we have successfully brought this vision to life.”
Upon its highly anticipated launch in February, the game will be available on a wide range of platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
