Fallout: London, a highly-anticipated mod for Fallout 4, has encountered a plethora of technical issues during its launch, leaving many players struggling to access its vast content from the start.
While certain measures can help reduce the likelihood of a mod crashing, Group FOLONS plans to streamline this process for users unfamiliar with navigating Nexus Mods or modifying files.
As part of a current interview with VG247, set to be published here in the coming days, Fallout: London venture manager Dean “Prilladog” Carter shares insights into the team’s experience since launch, detailing the challenges faced and plans to address the mod’s technical issues.
“So, when it comes to the discharge itself, we’ve seen a significant increase that exceeds our initial expectations,” Carter noted wryly, “I won’t sugarcoat it – even with the most arduous efforts, you often find yourself holding everything together with duct tape.” While overall satisfaction is unexpectedly high, some issues being reported are unforeseen and distinct from those we initially anticipated.
While the issue of a prepare crash is indeed well-documented, the lack of precision in describing it makes it challenging to fully comprehend the nature of the problem? We didn’t come close to having that. Without that information, we wouldn’t have taken the leap. To date, none of our qualified testers have reported experiencing that issue. The unexpected outcome has left us uncertain whether the final result was a singular event or a series of occurrences that collectively had this impact.
While some of the most significant complaints we’ve received are related to users submitting irrelevant issues, followed by claims that the problem is ours to fix. While there may be room for improvement in its current form on Steam. We acknowledge that despite our best efforts. We’ve actually established a technical support team that has been actively addressing these types of concerns.
What will replace the workforce introduced through Twitter last week do to help? “We’ve essentially operated as though our launch had never occurred,” Carter said candidly about the situation.
“Based on our plan, I envision implementing a hotfix that primarily addresses issues related to the Buffout 4 mod, as this is a crucial requirement for those who’ve expressed concerns about running it.” We lacked permission prior to that, so we never discussed these matters; typically, people just went to obtain what they needed. As we’ve gained traction since our launch, it’s natural that potential partners are more eager to collaborate. To capitalize on this momentum, we’re planning a hotfix that addresses key issues, including Buffer 4, which should stabilize the platform and alleviate related concerns.
“We’ve been tackling a multitude of issues, including those dubbed ‘the floaty patrol,’ where properties barely touch the ground before drifting away again,” he explained. “A lot of these problems have been resolved already, and our change log is becoming quite extensive – almost like a novella in its own right.” “We’ve been working tirelessly to rectify these issues, driven by our commitment to providing the highest level of expertise for everyone.”
