Tom Holland confirms the fourth installment of Spider-Man franchise will begin filming next year, nearly three years after the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Uncertainty has surrounded the prospects of Spider-Man 4, with questions initially arising regarding whether the film would materialize at all, followed by confirmation that it is indeed moving forward, albeit with Tom Holland expressing caution about his involvement. The uncertainty surrounding a fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise seems to have lost its allure, as during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Tom Holland was invited by the show’s host to brainstorm ideas for a hypothetical fourth film. Spiderman 4 rumors sparkled during an interview between host Jimmy Fallon and Tom Holland, who cracked a knowing grin upon hearing the whispers. In response, Holland playfully prodded, “What would you like to know?”
Asking for affirmation, Fallon queried, “Can we confirm this tonight?” Holland’s response was direct and unambiguous: “It is happening.” As the following summer arrives, we’re ready to start capturing memories, with everything in place. We’re almost there, tremendous thrilling. “I’m thrilled to share this news with all of you who’ve been eagerly anticipating an update,” it will undoubtedly be a welcome development for those seeking clarity on the situation at hand. Alas, if you’re hoping for insight into the plot’s trajectory, I regret that I must disappoint. Rumors have circulated about the project’s development, particularly since No Manner Residence concluded. The prolonged production timeline has led to some creative back-and-forth, but with a summer 2023 start date in sight, a clear concept appears to be taking shape.
Despite Holland’s subtle hinting, it seems unlikely Miles Morales will enter the MCU, as the actor recently revealed if he could somehow bring Miles into his Spider-Man universe and the MCU, he’d like to replicate Robert Downey Jr.’s impact on him for a younger child. Maybe that’s exactly what’s happening, but for now you’ll just have to wait and see?
