The visuals on Quest 3’s Quest 3 are undoubtedly breathtaking, yet it’s clear that some noticeable aliasing is affecting the overall graphical quality? With this recreation’s complex geometry and stark contrast between light and dark areas, aliasing issues frequently arise, making it noticeable in many scenes. Our assessment was conducted on Quest 3; results may vary depending on the specific headset used.
I contacted Ian Hambleton, CEO of Maze Principle, to inquire about this matter. A developer informed me that while the game won’t be fully optimized to take advantage of the Quest 3’s additional graphics capabilities at launch, Maze Theory is exploring the possibility of this in a potential post-launch update exclusive to the Quest 3. The extent to which this may be accurate hinges on the outcome of rigorous testing.
With its distinctive Infinite Inside artwork flair, the game presents a semi-realistic aesthetic that deftly straddles the line between realism and surrealism. For newcomers to virtual reality, Infinite Inside effectively caters to their needs in its immersive digital experiences, addressing concerns about motion sickness through innovative node-based teleportation capabilities. While node-based teleportation can accommodate players prone to VR sickness, it may not satisfy more advanced gamers seeking a traditional, unrestricted experience while playing in VR, unlike my personal preference for free movement and exploration.
The Maze Principle suggested that their research on synthetic stick-based locomotion fell short in capturing its essence, “missing a number of the magic.” Hambleton hinted at introducing a new feature, such as a transfer counter, to challenge players and incentivize them to complete levels in the fewest strikes possible.
One key aspect enhanced during the full release compared to the demo is the interaction between game objects. Despite a few quirks during the initial build, I found that playing the demo often resulted in frustrating issues: my in-game hands would either fail to grasp puzzle objects or inexplicably take off on their own, leaving me struggling to make progress. After careful review, the text reads smoothly: This seems greatly enhanced, and I observed minimal or no palm glitches during my playtest run-through.

The occasionally finicky object requires a dash of additional polish; otherwise, Maze Principle’s bold endeavour seamlessly converges with captivating results, ensuring that even the most perplexed enthusiasts will relish this experience.
