Isn’t the case yet, though; our understanding is that an expansion will follow inevitably after its initial release. In August, Bethesda announced that developer MachineGames was working on a post-launch expansion for the title, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, but details beyond that were scarce.
In an interview with MinnMax, inventive director Axel Torvenius shed light on the upcoming expansion, describing it as “a narratively-driven unique experience” that seamlessly integrates into the original game’s campaign.
“When discussing the upcoming DLC, Torvenius notes that it will feature a highly narrative-driven and unique experience, seamlessly integrating with the main campaign’s storyline.”
While details remain scarce, we’re still uncertain about the scope of this expansion, including its length and potential release date, with the exception being that this information will likely be disclosed once the game is available.
MachineGames has formally announced that their new game won’t include a Photo Mode, while also confirming that it will be their largest and most extensive project to date.
debuts on December 9 for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with a later release slated for PS5 in the spring.
