The cinematic drought has been dismal, so it’s natural to approach newcomers with a healthy dose of scepticism. But the collaboration between MachineGames and Bethesda on their forthcoming action-adventure game could be just what’s needed to shatter this streak of mediocrity. When seeking authentic cinematic expertise, this game surprisingly delivers, largely due to its extensive use of cutscenes.
According to Bethesda’s recent interview with Rolling Stone, the new Indiana Jones game boasts over three hours of cutscenes, hinting at an abundance of scripted, cinematic action that may surpass the firm’s previous big-screen adaptations in recent years.
While the cinematic count is comparable to that of MachineGames’ previous flagship title in 2017, the overall length of the game remains to be seen.
will be available to play on December 9 for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with a later release slated for the PlayStation 5, targeted for spring 2025. MACHINE GAMES has confirmed that the upcoming title will run at a smooth 60 frames per second on all Xbox consoles.
