IO Interactive, the renowned developer behind the Hitman series, teamed up with UK-based XR Video Games to announce in June that a fresh installment of their stealth-action game was on its way to Meta Quest 3. Now studios are focusing on delivering a deeper dive into the gameplay experience.
Unveiled during today’s VR Games Showcase, the highly anticipated title promises a “complete rebuild from the ground up for VR,” exclusively arriving on Quest 3 this summer.
Prior to its release, the game was launched with VR assistance on the PlayStation VR (PSVR) in 2021, followed by a PC VR headset version that debuted a few months later, marking its first availability on the Quest platform.
Notably, the Quest 3 model boasts a dramatically revamped user interface and “enhanced motion mechanics” surpassing those of its predecessors in PSVR and PC VR platforms.
