On July 28, 2024, Apple Arcade welcomed an update that marked its primary anniversary, introducing the Friendship Parade, allowing two companions to accompany your avatar, alongside fresh attire options and a unique soundtrack from MYLK. Although the soundtrack is inaccessible outside the game, a recent trailer unveiled this year’s event iteration and showcased several new attire options.
The most significant update is the introduction of the 2024 Friendship Pageant, a replacement for last year’s Launch Celebration. The latest outfits currently all seem like additional pieces of formal attire, continuing the tradition started at the original launch event. During the period spanning from July 25th, 2024, to August 8th, 2024, participants have the opportunity to take part in Group Photograph events, thereby earning coveted Friendship Charms. These charms can be traded at the Photo Booth in Resort Plaza to acquire emotes and outfits.
With the flexibility to pair two Sanrio characters alongside you, you’ll have a unique opportunity to capture special moments on the island by taking photographs in their company, a novel experience that honours your creative endeavour.
The MYLK track was penned by Phill Boucher. To fully engage with the event, participants are motivated to take part in the activity and succeed in the game to earn access. When participants engage with the game, an in-game feature may appear, where fans can enjoy a mesmerizing spectacle of Sanrio characters dancing harmoniously to the soundtrack’s rhythm.
