The Helldivers 2 developer, Arrowhead, has announced an upcoming Warbond update for the game. Dubbed Chemical Brokers, this feature allows players to wreak havoc on the battlefield, unleashing devastating chemical agents on enemies while simultaneously afflicting their allies with noxious fumes via a strategic fart emote.
As the studio prepares for the rollout of Patch 01.001.007 on September 17, this Warbond update signals a shift towards bolstering the game’s community, following widespread discontent over recent nerfs. The follow-up to the Freedom’s Flame Warbond hopefully clears the same sniff test.
As announced in a recent PS blog post, Chemical Brokers is set to launch on September 19, featuring a plethora of drugs inspired by the makeshift concoctions one might whip up when attempting to eradicate galactic bacteria using every household item at their disposal under the kitchen sink.
There are two new strategies: the TX-41 Sterilizer and the AX/TX-13 ‘Guard Canine’ Canine Breath Analyzer. The former is a high-pressure sprayer capable of releasing toxic fuel at enemies, whereas the latter appears to be an automated sprayer attached to a drone designed to hover and dispense corrosive fuel on targets you might otherwise miss using your handheld herbicide applicator.
Here’s a revised version of the text in a different style:
In a departure from previous Warbonds’ approach to including offensive gear, Chemical Brokers introduced a fresh take: “Launching stratagems alongside fuel as a crowd management instrument feels like a natural progression, allowing Helldivers to choose their favorite weapons first.” “Not exclusively that, but rather bringing some crucial variety to Chemical Brokers, which we hope gamers will truly appreciate.”
Here are several utility weapons, including the P-11 Stim Pistol that can remotely heal allies, and the G4 Fuel Grenade, which, as its name suggests, provides fuel. The AF-50 Noxious Ranger and AF-02 Haz-Grasp armour configurations offer a balance between lightweight design and medium-level protection, further enhanced by the Superior Filtration passive’s immunity to toxic fuel effects.
The Warbond package concludes with a familiar selection of banners, capes, and an innovative addition: a novel paint colour, accompanied by a distinct flatulence emoji for added whimsy. Additionally, there’s also a signature victory pose they’ll employ to express their disgust at your nonsense. Video video games.
Immediately following the September 17 update, Arrowhead Games confirmed that the Breaker’s post-patch performance would include an extended journal capable of holding 16 shells, as well as a significant boost in stagger power, increasing it from 10 to 15.
