One of the biggest gaming releases of 2024 is undoubtedly ending the year on a high note, fittingly so. At the prestigious Recreation Awards, Arrowhead Recreation Studios unveiled a substantial update for their cooperative shooter, Omens of Tyranny, featuring a newly introduced faction, diverse enemy types, and additional planetary environments. Following the replacement, the sport has experienced a significant surge in popularity, with participant numbers showing a notable increase.
Since settling into a consistent range of 20-30,000 concurrent Steam players over recent weeks, the platform has seen a remarkable surge following the update’s deployment, with SteamDB recording an astonishing peak of 137,735 concurrent players. The sport’s Steam concurrent player base has reached its highest level in over six months since the PlayStation Network account linking issue in May. At the height of its popularity, the platform reached an unprecedented 438,000 gamers just months after its February launch.
Available for both PS5 and PC. By November, a milestone was reached as the sport boasted an impressive 15 million players across all platforms.
