Gunman Contracts – Stand Alone, the latest virtual reality shooter from independent developer ANB_Seth, breaks free from its origins as a Half-Life: Alyx mod to make its early-entry debut in 2025.
In this inaugural release from ANB_Seth, Gunman Contracts: Stand Alone immerses you in the role of a highly skilled hitman. In a gritty, lawless world, you take on the toughest of opponents – ruthless prison forces – to deliver justice in the midst of chaos, completing high-stakes contracts one by one in this adrenaline-fueled action-packed shooter. Gunman Contracts – Stand Alone is set to debut in partnership with writer 2080 Video games, simultaneously releasing as both a Virtual Reality (VR) and flatscreen game on Steam.
While the exact release date remains uncertain, Gunman Contracts – Stand Alone is being created as a virtual reality experience first, with non-VR versions also planned for later availability. Built upon the developer’s esteemed reputation for Half-Life: Alyx mods, and the Gunman Contracts saga reimagines the sci-fi shooter as a gritty mobster experience. The mod creators experienced a significant surge in their following on the Steam Workshop.
According to the Steam storefront, Gunman Contracts – Stand Alone is expected to enter early access within a timeframe of approximately two to three years. The ‘Gunman’s Base’ – a comprehensive suite of weapons and related modifications – is expected to debut as the game’s flagship feature in 2025, marking the initial release milestone for this ambitious project. When the sport reaches its version 1.0 milestone, around six contracts are expected to be finalized.
The standalone version of Gunman Contracts will launch on PC VR via Steam, as well as become available for non-VR play on the same platform, with a planned release date in 2025.
