Sony has revealed a sequel to its critically acclaimed open-world samurai game, with accompanying updated sales figures for the 2020 original.
According to a report by The New York Times, Sony has disclosed that it has sold more than 13 million units globally. As of July 2022, the highly acclaimed action-adventure game has sustained its impressive momentum, boasting sales of approximately 9.7 million units worldwide.
Launched on PC earlier in the year, the game made history as Sony’s biggest Steam launch for a single-player title to date, simultaneously dominating bestseller charts in the United States throughout May.
A film based primarily on can be in development, and is being directed by John Wick fame’s Chad Stahelski.
