Two days after HoYoVerse quietly replaced Adam Michael Gold as the voice actor for Argenti and Tail in the English version, he responded with a statement on his Twitter feed. Despite his decision to no longer occupy those roles within the game, he feels grateful and content, acknowledging the positive impact of the assistance received.
In the accompanying screenshot on his social media account, he starts by expressing gratitude to those who have offered assistance through an overwhelming outpouring of support. The fact is, however, that he genuinely adores the neighbourhood because of this. If he intends to release another statement about the shift in solids, it might come later on a different platform, given his observation that social media is not the most effective medium for making such announcements. He provided one clue regarding his decision: the transparency of his conscience in the given context, which allowed him to feel grateful for the opportunity to portray Argenti and Tail initially, having developed a fondness for these characters.
The exact nature of any potential developments following past controversy surrounding the English voice acting choice for Moze, played by Chris Niosi, remains unclear. Niosi has subsequently relinquished his duties. Argenti appeared in Variations 2.2 and pair 0.3. Despite this, the English model in each patch did not retain any audible signs of Argenti’s voice. It’s highly plausible that Gold genuinely departed during recording for those two patches, only revealing this now due to HoYoVerse finding substitutes for his dual roles.
