Enix, Lightspeed Studios, and Tencent introduced a cellular model of blockchain. Playtests are set to debut in China initially, followed by global rollouts. The game, within its preliminary announcement, is characterized as a transformative adaptation of the original MMORPG, incorporating key elements and components to create a distinct gaming experience. The announcement video explicitly stated that Disciples of Conflict, encompassing standard job classes and specialized Disciples of the Land and Hand roles, will remain up-to-date with no changes or updates planned for these features. The game will also feature a variety of minigames alongside traditional adventuring and raiding opportunities, including experiences reminiscent of the Gold Saucer’s popular chocobo racing events and the engaging gameplay of Triple Triad. The announcement also confirmed that Scions of the Seventh Dawn’s characters, including Tataru Taru and Thancred Waters, will remain available as usual.
