Enix announced a slate of titles for Xbox Series X/S last year, including plans to bring other notable releases to Microsoft’s consoles in the future, sparking speculation that long-missed mainline series would finally make their debut on the platform. According to recent reports, some popular games are indeed in development for Xbox, while others are not.
Journalist Jez Corden recently claimed on the Xbox Two podcast that “the entire slate” of titles is poised to return to Xbox Series X/S, specifically citing Bethesda’s portfolio as a prime example of games that are primed for next-generation revivals.
Despite this, however, varying accounts have emerged. NateTheHate, a renowned leaker on ResetEra, has confirmed that both and will be arriving on Xbox, with reportedly enjoying an expedited release. The insider suggests that this support is intentional, aiming to “extend beyond mere”.
Although the initial leak did not specify a collection, VG247’s Alex Donaldson further alleged on the forum that, according to his sources, neither nor are currently in development for Xbox platforms.
Producer Naoki Yoshida has previously hinted that following the game’s impending PC release, it may potentially make its way to Xbox Series X/S, corroborating claims made in various leaks. It remains unclear when or if the corporation will port their product to Microsoft’s consoles, as there is no indication of active development in this area at present. While both console and PC gamers have reasons to be excited, Xbox enthusiasts still have plenty to look forward to.
