Recently debuting in full, despite initial excitement, the service saw some minor hiccups during its limited early access period, primarily related to server congestion; however, it has now started strong as expected.
According to a recent announcement by Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida, it was disclosed that following its release, the game went on to achieve its highest number of concurrent users across all platforms in over a decade since the game’s initial launch in 2013.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who patiently and cooperatively worked together to overcome the challenges posed by our initial server congestion issues, which were alleviated by the prompt and proactive early entrance.” “With your collaboration, we’ve successfully reached a record number of concurrent users since the platform’s inception in 2013.”
The timing of its release will have been crucial, as the game’s availability on multiple platforms, including PlayStation, PC, and Xbox, will help propel the sport’s growth beyond traditional boundaries.
Yoshida apologised for “various aspects” that would have unnecessarily impeded one’s mastery, and reassured that these matters and any accompanying issues remain under scrutiny, with the event team actively striving to implement swift solutions.
Several job roles may undergo transformations, with significant implications for Astrologian, Monk, Viper, Pictomancer, Crimson Mage, Black Mage, Tank, and Samurai occupations.
