It’s a turbulent era for any Helldiver. In a shocking resurgence, the enigmatic Illuminate re-emerge after a century of secrecy, abducting unsuspecting inhabitants of Tremendous Earth and transforming them into grotesque creatures known as the Voteless. While sinister forces converge on Tremendous Earth, the enigmatic schemes of the opposing factions remain shrouded in mystery: the Automatons, stealthily advancing towards their destination, and the Terminids, cultivating a swarm of cryptic, evolutionary spores that threaten to upend the natural order. Unfortunately, I’m convinced we won’t believe what Tremendous Earth is trying to tell us. It seems to me that they might be stretching the truth a bit.
With the Sports Awards ceremony concluding, The Illuminate suddenly appeared in a surprise release, prompting Helldivers to rush to the planet of Calypso to confront this unexpected threat. One world lay besieged by the Illuminati, and gamers succeeded in fulfilling the Main Objective within the last few minutes of the campaign.
Tremendous earth dispatched a replacement, which stood for some time afterwards.
A small cell? Properly, that sounds reassuring. After the successful completion of Operation Historic Vengeance on Calypso, the Illuminate’s presence was undetectable for a full 24 hours, with Helldivers observing a notable decrease in their activity levels. But subsequently, we received a fresh set of marching orders under the auspices of Operation Squid Sport. The Illuminate are launching a surprise assault on multiple planetary systems, with Genesis Prime being their primary target. Tremendous Earth has redefined its mission with a clear and concise textual content that reads:
While opposing the Illuminate’s ideals, I find myself troubled by a disconcerting realization. While facing a significantly reduced roster compared to the other two factions, the Bile Titans and Factory Striders remain unrivaled in their own unique ways? Regardless of the game mode, the same cast of characters emerges: Voteless, Overseers, and Harvesters are always the ones you’ll encounter. It seems highly likely that we will witness a surge in squid populations. For individuals verifying Illuminate ranks directly from the primary source, there are some unsettling possibilities: the Obelisk, the Illusionist, and the Nice Eye may all materialize simultaneously.
While Tremendous Earth exudes a laid-back demeanor regarding this issue, I firmly believe their suitability is questionable. Filled with narrative surprises, it seems unlikely to change its unpredictable nature.
For skeptics who believe the wandering Harvesters are detrimental, hold on to your seats: I confidently predict that the Illuminate will only become increasingly unsettling.
