Discussing their inclusion in the BBC’s sports coverage with this year’s series, Oli Fox, a member of indie band Good Neighbours, revealed that creating FC 25’s soundtrack marks his first time participating in the event alongside his brother Morgan, a truly exciting development.
“For years, I’ve found Morgan’s dedication to their passion frustrating,” Fox noted, “Actually, our shared history dates back to our childhood, where a competitive rivalry developed. It wasn’t until around 10 years ago that the penny dropped and we realized we could coexist in the same space.”

The BBC spoke with Steve Schnur, President of Music for Electronic Arts (EA), to gain insight into the process behind selecting artists for EA FC soundtracks, including those featured in Good Neighbours. During initial studio evaluations, which involved examining “hundreds and hundreds” of songs, Schnur recalled being driven by an intense passion, racing around to find the next great hit. The executive clarified that he cannot consistently make decisions based on personal preferences or historical relationships, although the selected tracks must still align with a specific tone. As Schnur notes, ultimately, “my boss is the participant, the individual who purchased the game copy, often using their parents’ money, typically alongside their father or mother.”
