The developers behind Dungeons of Eternity have added a new feature that allows players to opt out of battling spiders as enemies in their VR cooperative fantasy game.
Beforehand confirmed in its post-launch roadmap as of November, Dungeons of Eternity, the winner of our 2023 award for best multiplayer VR game, has rolled out an “Arachnophobia Mode” on Quest. By toggling this setting within the game’s options, users can replace spider creatures with an alternative that is described as “even more lovable and endearing” in a response to Othergate Entertainment.
To further solidify the game’s stability, we introduced a novel addition: the Kamikaze exploding spider, a new monster in our latest patch notes, as announced by Othergate. Significant updates are incorporated, encompassing improvements to Tier 3 epic chests, as well as refinements to crossbow aiming mechanics, including enhanced voice chat functionality and increased blast radius damage from bombs. A brand-new ‘Kick’ feature has been introduced, enabling the removal of players who consistently join and abandon events, thereby disrupting the experience for others.
Following the “Longswords and Traps Spring” patch by Could, the latest update builds upon this foundation, introducing a new two-handed longsword, elevating the degree cap, and incorporating the “Nightmare” issue, as well as haptic feedback capabilities through B Haptics. Subsequent developments at Othergate have been previously confirmed to include the forthcoming fall and winter seasons of Dungeons of Eternity, which will introduce a novel quest mode, a paid single-player downloadable content pack, an entirely new realm, increased enemy diversity, and further enhancements.
Dungeons of Eternity is now available to play on the Meta Quest platform.
